“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
— Matthew 10:28
“They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear so to them.”
— Qur’an 4:157
At first glance, the crucifixion of Jesus appears to be a major dividing line between Christianity and Islam. The Bible says Yeshua (Jesus) was crucified and resurrected; the Quran says he was not killed, but it only appeared that way. Can these two revelations ever be reconciled?
At Meditation Church, we believe that beneath apparent contradiction lies mystical truth — and when read with spiritual eyes, the Bible and the Quran may not be in conflict at all.
💀 The Illusion of Death
When Yeshua (Jesus) was crucified, it was his body that suffered. But was his Spirit — the eternal Christ within — ever touched?
Absolutely not.
In Matthew 10:28, Jesus reminds his followers:
“Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul…”
This is not a metaphor — it’s a profound spiritual teaching. No one can kill the soul. And Yeshua (Jesus) was not just a man — he was the Word made flesh (John 1:14), the eternal Light (John 8:12), and the living expression of God’s Spirit.
✨ Christ Cannot Be Killed
The Qur’an affirms this spiritual reality when it says in Surah An-Nisa (4:157) that Yeshua (Jesus) was not truly killed or crucified — but it appeared that way.
Mystics throughout time have understood:
The Christ cannot be killed.
Not by nails.
Not by Rome.
Not by religion.
Only the form was crucified.
The Spirit remained inviolable, unshaken, and gloriously alive.
🕊️ Yeshua (Jesus): The Spirit and Word from God
The Qur’an also calls Jesus:
“A Word from God… a Spirit from Him.” — Qur’an 4:171
And the Bible says:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” — John 1:1
This is the mystical bridge between the two revelations.
Yeshua (Jesus), as the manifestation of God’s Word, is both from God and inseparable from God.
Whether you call Him “Son of God” or “Spirit from God,” His divine origin remains the same.
🔥 A Call to See with the Inner Eye
At Meditation Church, we do not force rigid dogma. We invite you to go deeper.
The question is not “Was Yeshua (Jesus) crucified?”
The deeper question is:
What can truly die?
What is eternal?
Who are you, beyond the body?
Just as they could not kill Christ, so too your divine self cannot be touched by death.
💬 Final Reflection
In a world torn by religious division, this truth brings healing:
The crucifixion was real in form… but illusion in essence.
The body passed… the Christ remained.
Let the Bible and the Qur’an both guide you inward — to the indwelling Presence of God.
“The Kingdom of God is within you.” — Luke 17:21
“We are nearer to man than his jugular vein.” — Qur’an 50:16
